IGLESIA DE SAN JAIME.

The Church of St. James, patron of the city, sits on the cusp of the old city on the hill called Canfali. Its construction dates from the eighteenth century neoclassical style is topped with a Mediterranean-style blue cupola. In the interior there is another strong symbol hometown roots in the believers, Our Lady of Suffrage, patron saint of Benidorm. The Virgin has a chapel there where we will visit the small size that was found, as the story goes, a boat adrift at sea.

VILLAGE OF THE IBERIAN TOSSAL

At the end of the Poniente beach, is the Iberian settlement of Tossal of La Cala. The hill that closes Benidorm Bay to the west was an Iberian settlement late (S. III - I BC). You can see the area restored to rise since the end of the Poniente beach and looking for the intersection of La Cala, from here you can follow the signs leading to the area.

TORRE TORRE PUNTA DEL MORAL AND CAVALL.

Other vestiges of the past and declared a Cultural (BIC) are the Tower Escaletes Morales or a watchtower in the eighteenth century that the guards scanned the horizon to avoid the numerous pirate raids. The same characteristics are used to describe the watchtower Punta del Cavall or Secure. Both are located in Sierra Frost.

THE CASTLE.

Mirador de Benidorm. In the big rock that divides the two beaches stood the fortress that served as a defense against pirate raids and Berber Algerians in the centuries XIV, XV and XVI. Subsequently the castle was abandoned, leaving today only some remnants of the walls, which remain lying on the rocks at the lookout, also known as the "Balcony of the Mediterranean".

MARITIME CULTURAL CENTER.
Permanent exhibition of ship models and nautical motifs. Reminder of major shipping companies carried out by the old Benidorm, (merchant marine, traps, etc.).. Admission free.
Hours: (SUMMER: from 21 June to 21 September) Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 15:00 h. (WINTER: From September 22 to June 20) Monday through Friday from 09:30 h. to 13:30 and 16:00 h. to 19:00 pm

CITY HALL.

At the entrance of the park there is an element Aigüera very different welcomes the visitor, is the new City Hall. Its unusual structure has attracted interest from architects and get multiple views. It is a bridge building that makes the green door of Aigüera. The building is cantilevered and pedestrians can pass under it. The large window of the building was covered with thick strips which are inscribed the names of more than 60,000 registered.

Aigüera's Park
Another place to which we must approach the park Aigüera. Designed by architect Ricardo Bofill, this green area is shown in the neoclassical style, a long park that divides the widening of an area of more recent construction. Two arenas are used to hold cultural shows and exhibitions during the summer and ends in the bullring park and in an enclosure prepared for the fairs that are held to accompany the various parties. The route through the park takes the route of the ancient underground gorge and there is a large pipe that channels water runoff.

AGRICULTURAL MUSEUM.
Located in the Leisure and Recreation l'Aigüera Park (near the bullring), the Agricultural Museum allows us to discover the farming equipment, a plow, a Ferris wheel and wagon and a large number of tools needed to field work. Admission free.
